A Strong Start to the STEM Elevate Journey

The STEM Elevate Program officially commenced with its inaugural orientation session on 19 November 2025, marking an exciting beginning for an outstanding cohort of 25 fellows selected for the STEM Career Navigator track.

The orientation was expertly led by the program coordinator, Prof. Priscilla Kolibea Mante, with essential support from program assistants Benedict Agyenim-Boateng and Danielle Ofori. Together, they guided fellows through the program structure, engagement expectations, and the shared values that underpin the STEM Elevate community.

A central focus of the session was our commitment to cultivating an inclusive, empowering environment for emerging STEM leaders. The program aims to meaningfully address the gender gap in STEM and unlock the full potential of women advancing scientific and technological innovation across Africa.

The fellows bring with them a rich diversity of interests and expertise spanning agribusiness, financial mathematics, public health, water resource engineering, technology, machine learning, and more. Their varied backgrounds reflect the multidisciplinary nature of the challenges and opportunities shaping Africa’s STEM landscape.
